Life's Thoughts and Moments Shared

Blog EntryNov 4, '09 6:49 AM
for everyone

The heart has so many functions that most common non-scientific people wouldn't begin to understand or be able to fully explain the functions and capabilities of the heart.

If blood is like the life fluid that flows through our veins, then the heart would be the centre and source of that life fluid. Such importance! If you think, this is some science lesson, then you are clearly mistaken.

Scientifically, it must be explainable the "leap" or so to speak your heart makes when you're starstruck in love. The first time you hold her hand gives you a little jolt that borders between being a little uncomfortable and maybe the most exciting feeling you have ever had. Similarly, that warm fuzzy feeling you get in your heart when you know you're loved and being shown love. How do you explain the connection between the external stimuli that enters the nervous system and the reaction that takes place in the heart?

On a different note, a very similar jolt, or "drop" occurs during moments of sadness. Not just your typical monday blues kinda sad, but rather the opposite of knowing you are loved or being shown love. Moments you may have been let down or hurt. it is almost as if something cuts into your heart causing life to just drain out of you. What scientific explanation is there for that?

Well, there very well may be. But the wonders of why God gave us emotions to feel, that in many ways cannot be scientifically explained or quantifiable gives us the ability to choose, rationalize and be intimately connected with one another, and ultimately with God.

Why we feel so much? only God knows. Why some people "emo" a lot? She wonders but only God knows. Why im writing this blog post? you gotta wonder =)

I like feeling the way i do, because i know thats how God intended me to be. And i'm definately going to make the most of it!
